I only went here in the 9th grade but I still have a lot of fun. I performed in POPS, met awesome people, and all around had a fantastic first year, haha. If the school had more opportunities other than sports and chorus, I would give it five stars! :DDD
Bowie high school is simply like any other high school, the teachers never give out grades. If you want something, you gotta work for it. The sports teams are nice, the club's are wonderful and its overall a good school in my eyes
School is underfunded, horribly maintained, and violent. Materials are all used and broken, and any extra cash is given to the football team; which hasn't had a winning streak in years, by the way. They can't afford to provide paper to classes, put toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms, fix broken desks or windows, or support the arts department, but a brand new football field gets built? There was nothing wrong with the old one. Most teachers and security guards don't care what goes on or simply don't know how to manage a classroom. Fights are extreme and constant, principal is an idiot and many students end up falling through the cracks. Not to mention the overcrowding issues. Send your child anywhere else

Two of my sisters assist this school . You would think this school is better then Parkdale high school which is located in Riverdale . The front desk receptionist had the ugliest attitude was so racist towards my mom and I. We were looking for my sister because she had missed various periods . And this lady was so Rude 100% disgusted with the way this lady treated me . I don't think I did anything to her but walk in a request information on her . And I was informed by other parents that she treats mistreats forigen parents . But all the white parent she treats Better then the forigen ones . I'm so disappointed in the type of person that is at the front desk it's just this one cacausion lady their . And their security system sucks theirs kids all over the parking lot. Parkdale high school constently is checking their parking lots . And having hall sweps to avoid students loitering the halls . I would never in a thousand years bring my sisters back to this school.
