A couple weeks back, my car died on the road in Bowie, this was on a Sunday. I don't live in Bowie now, so I didn't know where to tow my car to have it fixed, but after a quick search, I decided on DARCARS. They seemed friendly enough on the phone. And the following day, I appreciated the prompt call about the analysis on the repairs the technician thought my 2000 Accord needed. However, the reason I gave them only one star is because the repairs cited seemed to have nothing to do with what was wrong with my car. For example, the technician said that my starter was bad, when in fact, the starter worked just fine, the problem was the engine had stalled and wouldn't run (no spark or fuel). Not only that, but he also recommended a valve adjustment and a fuel system flush. That last idea is really awful. DON'T EVER GET A FUEL SYSTEM FLUSH. I was dumb enough to do a similar service on a Mazda I owned and it started burning oil soon thereafter. On top of the erroneous recommendations, DARCARS wanted to charge me nearly $2000 to fix all this stuff that didn't need to be fixed. In the end, I decided to get my car towed to another shop, which sucked, but was still better than leaving my car at this place. As soon as I told the technician that's what I wanted to do, he informed me that I owed them $130 for their diagnostic fee. Nice eh? I understand having to pay people for their time, but it would've been good to know about this fee upfront. I don't think that's fair, nor is it fair to quote crazy prices for repairs that have nothing to do with the problem. Stay away from this place. I decided that day to have my car towed to Bowie Auto Clinic and they have taken great care of my car at a fraction of the price of this place.
Terrible experience. I came in with a check from my insurance company from a totaled loss vehicle. I communicated this information up front to the sales agent and expressed to him multiple times i did NOT want my credit ran because of this. I did find a car i was interested without a listed price. The sales man stated he would run the vehicle pricing over with his manager and needed my information which sounds fair. He still proceeded to run my credit after explaining that he wasn't. He told me it was just for their records and to be able to provide me the price of the car. Fast forward to a few weeks later (today) and I noticed an inquiry on my credit report which did not have to be there from this location. I came in with an insurance check and wanted to only spend around the amount of the check, there was absolutely no need to run my credit for financing. Use caution with this dealership and make sure you read and review EVERYTHING instead of what they tell you.
My experience here has been nothing but fantastic. I just got a new car for the third times from this dealership and their commitment to making sure the customer is happy is second to none. I met a new sales rep, Jerry Ugo. He was simply great. He went above and beyond to make me happy and to make sure my experience with the purchase of my new car is as smooth as possible. I will recommend this place anytime if you're a Honda lover.
Everybody was very pleasant to work with. I will recommend this dealership to all my friends and co-workers. From the moment I walked in, every single person I met was friendly and professional. This was my first purchase from Darcars, and most certainly won't be my last!
I just bought a 2016 CRV. Wow the car of my dreams! A friend of mine called and talked to a manager he said for me to come in and they would see what they could do. Well let me tell you my salesman told me that he was going to talk to finance and put their heads together. My salesman called me just about every day. Told me what was going on. My friend talked to another Honda dealership and they told her no way anyone could put me in one!! Well let me tell you my salesmen called said come in please and talk to all of us. They never gave up and they put me in my CRV!! Finance gave me a Christmas miracle! THEY ARE THE BEST!!
